Navajo Ceremonial Basket also called a wedding basket in white, black and red colors, a unique 10 pyramid/point design, tightly woven in traditional manner with sumac twigs to retain such items as a corn meal porridge consisting of white corn meal symbolizing the male and yellow corn meal the female during Navajo/Dine’ wedding ceremonies. This basket has been used and blessed in a traditional Navajo ceremony. By studying the basket one can see the traces of the sacred ceremony. Note this basket is unique. 11 3/4" (29,8cm) in diameter and 1 5/8” (4,1cm) deep.
