This Basket was used and blessed by a Medicine Man during a sacred ceremony.
Navajo Ceremonial Basket also called a wedding basket in white, black and red colors, a unique 12 pyramid/point design, tightly woven in traditional manner with sumac twigs to retain such items as a corn meal porrige consisting of white corn meal synbolizing the male and yellow corn the female during Navajo/Dine' wedding ceremonies. This basket has been blessed in a traditional Navajo ceremony. By studying the basket one can see the traces of the sacred ceremony. Note this basket is unique. 13" (33cm) in diameter and 2 3/4" (7cm) deep.
