This large Navajo Ceremonial Basket also called a wedding basket in white, black and red colors, a unique 12 pyramid/point design, tightly woven in the traditional manner with sumac twigs to retain such items as a corn meal porridge consisting of white corn meal symbolizing the male and yellow corn meal the female during Navajo/Dine’ wedding ceremonies. This basket has been used and blessed in a traditional Navajo ceremony.By studying the bassket one can see the traces of the sacret ceremony. Note: this basket is unique, 13 3/4  (35cm) in diameter, 2" deep (5cm).
