This rug was woven by June Whitesheep in a Tree of Life design with 100% Navajo sheep wool in analine colors. June Whitesheep has been weaving rugs for a long time in Kayenta and has taught the skill to her daughter Rena. Rug available for sale at NavajoCrafts.

Rug measures 19 x 24 inches.

Tree of Life: Basket at Bottom represents the Navajo Hogan, stem and leaves represent corn the food of the Navajos, birds represent traditional ceremonies; yellow = sun, red = seasonal change, blue = sky and night, purple= rain, white top = corn pollen used in ceremonies like weddings.
Tree of Life represents generational change and daily early morning prayers, get out and get blessings from spirits.
Handcrafted by Native American Artists
